So how does this work?

When I hear from a family that is interested in Lea’s Littles, I like to meet with families, over zoom or at my home, before placing a child in my waiting pool. I do this because I want to make sure that we have the right fit. This business is extremely personal to me and my family. The relationships that we will build over the years will affect more than just my business. I have the following prioritization when handling the wait pool:

  1. Full time care schedule
  2. My personal relationship with the family
  3. Availability and needs to balance my class
  4. Work in Summit County, serving the community

After your family has interviewed and placed in the waiting pool, you will not hear from me very often, unless you are subscribed to my blog. I will, however, check in periodically with families just to see if they are still interested in being in the waiting pool because I understand that child care needs for families are always changing.

If a spot opens up, I will reach out to you, first via phone call and then as a follow up via email. Once you are contacted about a space for your child, you will have 24 hours to accept the space and provide a $50 one-time, non-refundable Spot-Acceptance Fee. This is separate from the annual $100 Registration Fee. The Registration Fee will be applied each September and prorated quarterly for those that enroll after September.

What else should I know?

Make sure the read the entire handbook before our interview, it should answer most of your questions and give you an idea of what to expect from me in terms of policy, educational philosophy, schedule, cost and many other important details about the way that I operate. You will recieve it by signing up for it on this page, above or below.

The value of a Family Child Care Home is very different from any other child care experience. What makes your child’s experience special is the relationship that I will build with you and your family and the relationships that will be built among other families in the class. You will never wonder who your child’s teacher will be that day. You and I are the unique pieces of the puzzle. My home becomes your home and my family becomes your family. During these important infant and toddler years this relationship and the development of your child will be a consistent team effort where we can all meet our developmental goals. Continuity of care is very important to me and ideally each enrolled child will be a part of my program from the time that they are enrolled, until they age out of my program on their third birthday.

Upon your enrollment, all paperwork needs to be fully completed before your child’s start date. The forms include enrollment documents, general health appraisal form (that need to be taken to the doctor), record of immunizations and the parent handbook contract.

Please read through my handbook to gain a full understanding of my expectations for families before arrving for your interview. I will assume that you have an understanding of my policies and expectations once you have scheduled you interview.

Please click the “Schedule a Tour and Join the Waiting Pool” below, you will be directed to schedule an interview before joining the waiting pool.
